Dear Swaptree-
I know you asked for creativity for your Wii contest, but after three months of studying for the Illinois bar, that bright little light that was once my creative spark has diminished to a tiny little ember. To top it all off, it’s been a really rough summer…I had my television stolen during spring break, then I had ALL of my bar exam notes stolen, plus my computer was stolen. After that, my bike got two flat tires in one week, and yesterday when I walked outside to take my other bike for a spin, I found that it’s tires had been deflated as well! So, creativity I have not, but a need for a little bit of good luck should re-light my fire. If you can help a girl out, I promise to be creative just for you at a later date.
Today was nice...
When I was in high school, I had a friend named Austin, and every so often, we would just snuggle up under the covers like some sort of twisted sailor’s knot made of arms and legs. We would giggle and groggily hide under the covers and watch the Dark Crystal on repeat.
Today was a lot like that, but a lot better because I wasn’t in high school, Austin wasn’t there, and I had the sunshine and high-thread-count sheets instead of a creepy puppet-filled movie.
And then I realized it was time to get up and study for the bar exam.
Recipe for Today
Ingredients:
-one female human body
-sunshine
-baby oil
-fresh rosemary
-fresh lavender
-epsom salts
-olive oil
Directions:
1. Slather female body in baby oil and bake under high noon sunshine for one hour.
2. Gather fresh rosemary and lavender, crush with a rolling pin.
3. Mix one cup epsom salts, lavender, and rosemary in a bath of piping hot water.
4. Soak body for 30 minutes.
5. Liberally apply olive oil to seal in all the goodness.
Optional:
6. Follow with a nice bike ride or stroll around the neighborhood.
I want, I think, I like, I wish, I wonder
I want to get lost in your crystal blue eyes.
I think you are cute when you are groggy in the morning.
I like how you call me “Beautiful” or “Cutie” in lieu of my name.
I wish we could snuggle up right now and watch a movie.
I wonder what you are doing tonight.
